Relatively little is known of Henry Salt's brother-in-law Herman Joynes. Henry moved to Brighton following the death of Kate Salt to be closer to Herman.
Salt makes a brief mention of Herman in Company I Have Kept, the story is repeated in Salt's letter The Gentlest Rebel.
It is hoped that in time we may discover more information on Herman.
